Almadex Acquires Three New Gold Exploration Projects by Staking in the Western USA, Surface Sampling returns 3.5 g/t Gold

Overview

The Big Sky high sulphidation epithermal gold-silver project is located in western New Mexico and covers a large area of advanced argillic alteration and silicification hosted in rhyolite volcanics. Zones of hydrothermal brecciation occur along with quartz-alunite and dickite alteration.

Geology

A total of 57 grab rock samples have been collected from exposed outcrop and subcrop. As these are selectively gathered specimens, they may not necessarily represent in-situ mineralization. However, initial geochemical analyses yield promising results, with 19 samples returning gold values exceeding 0.1 g/t, including four samples reporting concentrations above 1 g/t, reaching a maximum of 3.5 g/t gold and an average grade of 0.26 g/t across the dataset. The highest gold values correspond to brecciated zones occurring within a series of subparallel quartz-alunite ridges, suggesting structural or lithological controls on mineralization.

Additionally, assay results from a preliminary soil geochemical survey have delineated anomalous gold concentrations and an elevated epithermal suite element signature proximal to the zones of mineralized rock, reinforcing the potential for economic mineralization.

To further refine exploration targeting, Almadex has commenced an induced polarization (IP) geophysical survey across the project area. The objective of this program is to delineate subsurface resistivity and chargeability anomalies that may correspond to zones of enhanced sulfide mineralization, aiding in the definition of prospective drill targets within the high-sulfidation gold system.
